terms and conditions
Swimstars & Dolphins Ltd trading as Go Swimstars is the data controller of the personal information you provide to us. This means the company determines the purposes for which, and the manner in which, any personal data relating to you and your school is to be processed.
We collect information about you when you register with us or complete a schools booking form. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback and participate in competitions. Website usage information is collected using cookies.
When booking on to a course, the categories of information we collect, and hold include the following;

Personal information – e.g. names, contact number, email address, date of birth

Relevant medical information

Disability information

Attendance information

Assessment information – our teachers record the progress of each swimmer and the award history is saved to your online account

Basic payment information – payment amounts, and date of payments are recorded on the booking. No card or bank account information is stored by us
Delivery Policy
For any items purchased from our Swim Shop will be sent within 2-3 working days from the date of purchase by 1st class post.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
We don't offer refunds on lessons but if we have any unplanned closures the direct debit will still be payable but you will be issued an electronic closure voucher which will be added on to your child’s account on our system. The voucher entitles you to come for a free swim at any of our venues, you will receive a voucher for every day that you miss. To cancel your child's swimming lessons we require 1 months notice which can be done over the phone on 01302 288280.
Photography
At times Swimstars & Dolphins may take photos/film of your child for promotional purposes, these images may appear on our website and email newsletters, in our printed materials produced for promotional purposes including leaflets, posters and adverts, in materials sent out to the media, and in social media.
We will not include personal e-mail or postal addresses, or telephone or fax numbers on our website or in printed publications. Please note that websites can be seen throughout the world, and not just in the United Kingdom, where UK law applies.
To comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, we need your permission before we take any photographs/film of your child. To grant permission please click here to complete our online form. Please note that we will NOT take any photographs/films without consent.
Payments
.1. Your membership will begin on the day you join.
1.2. When paying by Direct Debit, an initial payment will be required to cover the period up to your first DD payment including a joining fee.
1.3. Your membership is personal to you. You cannot transfer it to another person.
2. Fees
2.1. You must pay a monthly membership which will be determined by your chosen membership package.
2.2. Monthly instalments will be due on either the 1st or 15th of each calendar month or the next available working day by Direct Debit.
2.3. We may change the amount of your monthly payments. If we do we will write to you at the address you have given us 14 days before the changes take place.
2.4. Monthly fees are payable even if you do not attend the lessons.
3. Cancelling Your Membership
3.1 A contract may be cancelled once the final payment has been made; this requires 30 days notice in writing to Swimstars & Dolphins on 01302 288280 or (email: info@swimstarsanddolphins.com). A confirmation letter will be sent back. Queries on cancelled memberships can only be dealt with when a copy of this letter is provided.
4. Changing the Agreement.
4.1. We can change the agreement at any time. We will give you 14 day’s notice of this change in writing at the address you have given us.
5. Facilities
5.1. You are entitled to use the facilities available for your category of membership package.
5.2. You may have to pay additional charges to use certain other facilities/ activities at the venue. You can get a list of these from our reception points. We can change these prices at any time.
5.4. Centre’s may open/close earlier during public holiday periods. Facilities may also close for occasional special events. Notices will be displayed in the centre in advance notifying customers of any changes.
5.5 If we have any unplanned closures, the direct debit will still be payable. Alternatively we can offer closure vouchers where you can come on another day for extra lessons.The voucher entitles you to come for a free swim at any of our venues, you will receive a voucher for every day that you miss. Payments for 1-1 lessons are payable in advance, with a minimum of 2 bookings per child. If you need to cancel your 1-1 lesson we require at least 24 hours notice and then we will endeavour to re-arrange the session for you. Anything less than 24 hours then 50% of the lesson price is payable.
Joining Fees
Payable at £25 per child and secures your child's place with us and entitles your child to one of our starter packs. Please be aware that contents may change from time to time.
Booster Lessons
Booster lessons are a great way to catch up on any missed lessons and to also swim more than once a week. They are available to all full paying customers who are up to date with their course payments and are subject to availability. Swimstars & Dolphins reserves the rights to cap the number of booster lessons per week.

Hear2Swim
The Hear2Swim Rewards Scheme is only available through Swimstars & Dolphins. The reward of £5 is only valid per family and cannot be redeemed per child. Any previous customers that have been recommended cannot be back dated. Swimstars & Dolphins reserves the right to cancel, modify and supersede the £5 offer without prior notice.
Universal Credit Discount & Blue Light Discount

2.2. Monthly instalments will be due on either the 1st or 15th of each calendar month or the next available working day by Direct Debit.
2.3. We may change the amount of your monthly payments. If we do we will write to you by the email address you have given us 14 days before the changes take place.
2.4. Monthly fees are payable even if you do not attend the lessons.
2.5 In order to receive the reduction in your membership package under our Universal Credit Discount Scheme, the customer must produce a monthly statement directly from their online portal. Failure to provide this information on a monthly basis will result in an automatic charge being added to the account and the customer will be charged the full membership price.
2.6 The monthly statement must be produced within 12 working days before the next payment is due to debit the account. This must be provided electronically and emailed to info@swimstarsanddolphins.com
2.7 Income Support is currently only applicable under the Universal Credit Discount Scheme.
2.8 Universal Credit and Blue Light discount is only applicable on group lessons and cannot be used against Private lessons.
2.9 In order to receive the reduction in your membership package under our Blue Light Discount Scheme, the customer must email a copy of the card, clearly displaying the card holders name. The card holder must match the name held on the child's profile. Proof must be provided electronically and emailed to info@swimstarsanddolphins.com
